A Shining Start for Ansdell & Fairhaven

The first six months of Ansdell & Fairhaven Parish Council have been marked by strong community spirit and real success. With no existing Christmas lights, the Council worked with residents and local businesses to fundraise for festive lighting and a Christmas Light Switch-On — and the response was incredible.

The Switch-On on 29 November was extremely well attended, creating a vibrant, welcoming atmosphere and giving a major boost to local businesses, with several reporting one of their best trading days ever.

The celebrations continued with a Shop Window Competition, showcasing fantastic creativity and festive spirit across local businesses.

As the Parish Council reaches the end of its first six months, it does so with pride and momentum, with more exciting projects already planned for 2026.
